He texted the idea of a movie about two kids going to a party on Y2K that ultimately goes wrong, leading to the events portrayed in the film. Winter reflected on waking up hungover and reading Mooney’s text, which sparked a fully formed idea that they immediately decided to pursue. The collaborative effort of the cast and crew brought the unique vision of Y2K to life on the screen.
