The Upcoming Moto G85 5G: What We Know So Far

The Moto G85 5G has made an appearance on a benchmarking website, hinting at the imminent release of the next midrange smartphone in Motorola’s G-series lineup. Building upon the success of its predecessor, the Moto G84 5G, this new model is expected to come equipped with an advanced Snapdragon chip manufactured using Qualcomm’s cutting-edge 4nm technology.

According to the benchmark listing, the Moto G85 5G will be powered by an octa-core processor featuring two high-performance cores running at 2.30GHz and six efficient cores operating at a peak speed of 2.02GHz. The processor, codenamed “malmo,” is speculated to be the Snapdragon 4 Gen 3, a chip that has yet to be officially announced by Qualcomm.

In terms of performance, the Moto G85 5G has showcased promising results on Geekbench, scoring 939 points in the single-core test and 2,092 points in the multi-core test. These scores surpass those of its predecessor, indicating a significant improvement in overall processing power.

The benchmark listing also reveals that the Moto G85 5G will come with 8GB of RAM, with a possibility of a 12GB variant as seen on a European retailer’s website listing the device at EUR 300 (approximately Rs. 27,100). This suggests that consumers will have multiple memory options to choose from based on their preferences.

One of the key highlights of the upcoming smartphone is its out-of-the-box Android 14 operating system, offering users the latest software experience right from the start. While the exact release date of the Moto G85 5G remains unknown, we can anticipate further details to be unveiled by Motorola in the upcoming weeks or months leading up to the official launch event.

With its upgraded processor, ample memory options, and the latest Android software, the Moto G85 5G appears poised to be a competitive midrange offering in the smartphone market. As Motorola prepares to introduce its next G-series device, consumers can look forward to a device that combines performance, affordability, and cutting-edge technology.
