WhatsApp to Introduce Exciting New Features Soon

WhatsApp has been making strides in adding support for chat themes, allowing users to customize the appearance of their chats. The upcoming feature will enable users to change the colour of chat bubbles and backgrounds using preset themes or even select their own colours and wallpapers. This will add a personalized touch to the messaging experience on WhatsApp.

In addition to chat themes, WhatsApp is also working on new features to enhance user protection. One such feature is the ability to pick a username and set a PIN to safeguard users from unknown contacts. This feature will provide users with greater control over who can interact with them on the platform, preventing unwanted messages and spam.

A recent feature tracker previewed the theme picker menu, giving users a glimpse of what the upcoming feature will look like. The theme picker on iOS is expected to offer 10 theme presets for users to choose from. The themes include solid colours for backgrounds as well as landscape art themes, with chat bubble colours coordinated with the background colours.

Another feature in development is the Username PIN protection, which will work in conjunction with the username feature. Users will be prompted to set up a PIN after creating a unique username on WhatsApp. This will allow users to share the PIN with others to initiate a conversation, providing an added layer of security and control over their messaging interactions.

While these new features are still in development, they are expected to be rolled out to beta testers in the future before being released to all users on the stable channel. This phased rollout will allow WhatsApp to gather feedback and make any necessary adjustments before the official launch of the features.

Overall, these new additions to WhatsApp demonstrate the company’s commitment to enhancing user experience and providing greater customization and security options for its users. With the introduction of chat themes and enhanced user protection features, WhatsApp is set to offer a more personalized and secure messaging platform for its global user base.
