Exciting Borderlands Experience Coming to San Diego Comic-Con

Fans of the highly anticipated movie “Borderlands” will have the opportunity to step into the world of the film at next week’s San Diego Comic-Con. While the stars and filmmaker may not be in attendance, attendees can immerse themselves in the movie by visiting Moxxi’s Bar at the Gas Lamp district. This iconic watering hole from the video game that inspired the movie has been recreated at the Hard Rock Hotel from July 25-27. The bar will feature live DJ sets by Claptrap, Borderlands-themed cocktails by Ballantine, and a chance to play slots for exclusive film merchandise. Fans can secure timed tickets for entry or simply walk in to experience the excitement.

Ballantine’s Scotch whisky has a long-standing partnership with Borderlands, dating back to 2022. The brand appointed the fictional character Mad Moxxi as the Chief Galactic Expansion Officer (CGEO) to help launch their Scotch into new heights. To celebrate the partnership, a limited-edition Ballantine’s x Moxxi’s Bar Edition whisky was created and launched initially on Pandora. During Comic-Con, attendees will have the opportunity to taste this exclusive whisky at Moxxi’s Bar, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the experience.

For fans traveling through Albuquerque on their way to Comic-Con, the Mountain Dew Borderlands Motel at the Monterey Motel offers another unique experience. Co-sponsored by Mountain Dew and Regal Cinemas, this event will transport guests to the dystopian planet of Pandora on July 22 at 5:30 p.m. MT. The immersive experience is open to fans of 18+ and 21+ to enjoy the drinks available. This motel stop is part of Regal Cinemas’ Ultimate Borderlands Road Trip tour, with various other stops across the country leading to the ultimate destination of Comic-Con in San Diego.

The upcoming San Diego Comic-Con is set to be an unforgettable experience for fans of the Borderlands franchise. With immersive experiences like Moxxi’s Bar and the Borderlands Motel, attendees will have the chance to step into the world of the highly anticipated movie and enjoy exclusive merchandise and drinks. The partnership with Ballantine’s Scotch whisky adds an extra layer of excitement to the event, making it a must-visit for all fans of the Borderlands universe.
