Gravitas Ventures recently secured U.S. and Canadian distribution rights for the documentary “Don’t Fall in Love With Yourself,” which delves into the life and career of the influential musician-artist-actor Justin Pearson. Directed by Jon Nix, the film is set to be released on August 20 through Gravitas Ventures’ hybrid distribution system, reaching a wide audience across various platforms such as Comcast, Amazon Prime Video, Peacock, Spectrum, Apple TV, Dish, Google Play, DirecTV, and more.

The documentary promises to take viewers on a unique journey through Justin Pearson’s life, from childhood tragedy to his involvement in the San Diego punk scene as a pivotal member of bands like Swing Kids, The Locust, Dead Cross, and Retox. It also showcases his ventures as an actor, including appearances alongside Asia Argento and a notable feature on The Jerry Springer Show. Pearson’s impact on other artists is highlighted through the creation and pioneering promotion of his record label, Three One G Records, ultimately leading to his rise to cult celebrity status.

Produced by TurnStyle Films, the documentary is helmed by Jamie Overstreet with Matthew Chojnacki serving as the executive producer.
