LG and Meta Join Forces for Next-Gen XR Devices

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently met with LG Electronics CEO William Cho and President of Home Entertainment, Park Hyoung-sei, at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul. During the meeting, the executives discussed business strategies and considerations for the development of next-generation XR devices. LG leadership also had the opportunity to experience Meta’s Quest 3 headset and Ray-Ban smart glasses, showing interest in Meta’s large language model (LLM) stack and on-device AI integration.

As Meta’s Zuckerberg embarks on a tour of Asia, starting with South Korea, he is expected to meet with President Yoon Suk Yeol and other technology leaders. This visit marks Zuckerberg’s first trip to the country in a decade and signifies Meta’s interest in expanding its partnerships and collaborations in the region. The CEO is also scheduled to visit Japan and India as part of his trip to forge new relationships and explore opportunities for growth in the XR space.
