Robert De Niro Calls Donald Trump a “Loser” and a “Clown”

Robert De Niro, a well-known actor, did not hold back when expressing his thoughts on former President Donald Trump during a recent press conference. Standing just a few feet away from the Manhattan courtroom where Trump was attending his criminal trial, De Niro went on to call Trump a “loser” and a “clown.” The actor, who is a native New Yorker, stated that Trump did not belong in his city and criticized his past behavior as a real estate businessman. De Niro even went as far as to describe Trump as a threat to the United States, especially after the events of January 6, 2021, when a mob of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol.

During the press conference, De Niro expressed his concerns about the violence incited by Trump, particularly referencing the events of the Capitol riot. He mentioned that Trump’s actions were cowardly, questioning whether the former president ever engaged in physical altercations himself. De Niro highlighted Trump’s reaction to protesters outside the White House, where he reportedly hid in a bunker, as an example of his cowardice. The actor, known for his roles in films such as “Taxi Driver” and “The Godfather Part II,” decided to support Joe Biden’s reelection campaign because he believed it was important to address the violence associated with Trump’s presidency.

Following De Niro’s strong words against Trump, the former president’s supporters, including his adult children, condemned the actor’s appearance at the Biden campaign’s press conference. They accused the campaign of using De Niro as a political strategy to discredit Trump and his ongoing trial. Despite the criticisms from Trump’s allies, De Niro stood firm in his beliefs and continued to emphasize the importance of addressing the violence and destructive behavior incited by Trump during his time in office.

As Trump’s criminal trial progresses, the Biden reelection campaign is gearing up to intensify its attacks on the former president. With the presidential debate scheduled for June 27 approaching, both parties are focusing on gaining support and presenting their arguments to the public. Trump, who is facing allegations of falsifying business records related to a hush money payment made to Stormy Daniels, continues to maintain his innocence. His defense attorney, Todd Blanche, asserted that Trump did not commit any crimes and challenged the prosecution’s evidence during the closing arguments.

Robert De Niro’s bold statements against Donald Trump not only reflect his personal opinions but also highlight the divisive nature of American politics. As the country prepares for another presidential election, both parties are engaging in public discourse and legal battles to sway voters and secure their positions of power. The clash between De Niro and Trump’s supporters is just one example of the ongoing tension and polarization within the political landscape of the United States.
