The leak, shared by tipster Ishan Agarwal, showcased an image of what seems to be the Indian retail box of the Realme 12+ 5G. This leak has sparked rumors about the imminent launch of the device in India. The phone was initially set to launch in Malaysia on February 29, but the latest leak hints at a possible Indian launch even sooner.
According to the leaked image on the retail box, the Realme 12+ 5G is expected to feature some impressive specifications. These include a Sony LYT-600 OIS camera, a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging support, and a 120Hz AMOLED display. Previous reports also hinted at some of these key specifications, although there seems to be a discrepancy regarding the chipset.
While earlier reports suggested that the Realme 12+ 5G would come equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset, the latest leak reveals a different chipset altogether. The Geekbench listing indicated the codename MT6877V/TTZA, conflicting with the information on the retail box. Despite this inconsistency, most of the other specifications seem to align with previous rumors.
The Realme 12+ 5G is anticipated to sport a large 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. It may offer up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. In terms of camera capabilities, the phone could come with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Additionally, for selfies and video calls, there could be a 16-megapixel front camera.
