A thrilling new film titled “Double Booked” is currently in development, featuring a star-studded cast and an intriguing plotline. Emmy nominee Adam Scott, known for his work on the hit series Severance, will not only star in the film but will also make his directorial debut. Joining him on screen are Oscar nominee Sterling K. Brown, Zazie Beetz from Atlanta, and Alexandra Daddario from The White Lotus.
“Double Booked” follows the story of a successful self-help writer, portrayed by Adam Scott, and his heavily pregnant wife, played by Zazie Beetz. The couple plans a weekend getaway at a secluded lodge, only to find another couple, portrayed by Sterling K. Brown and Alexandra Daddario, already staying in the cabin upon their arrival. As a blizzard approaches, the four individuals are forced to spend the night together, leading to a series of unexpected events. What initially appears to be a harmless misunderstanding escalates into a tense battle of deception with potentially deadly consequences.
The screenplay for “Double Booked” is penned by David Levinson, known for his work on Welcome Home. The film is produced by Adam Goodman and Matt Skiena for Dichotomy Creative Group, as well as Adam Scott and Naomi Scott for Great Scott Productions. Protagonist Pictures is handling international sales for the film, while UTA Independent Film Group and CAA are co-representing North America.
Adam Scott, in addition to starring in the film, expressed his excitement about directing “Double Booked,” stating that the project checked all the boxes for him. The acclaimed actor is known for his roles in TV series like Parks and Recreation, Big Little Lies, and The Good Place. Sterling K. Brown, a three-time Emmy winner, most recently appeared in the series American Fiction and is currently working on the Hulu drama Paradise City. Zazie Beetz rose to fame with her role in Atlanta and has appeared in films like Deadpool 2 and Joker. Alexandra Daddario, known for her work in The White Lotus, will also be part of the cast.
