The world of artificial intelligence (AI) is constantly evolving, and now it has taken an interesting turn with the announcement of Miss AI, the first-ever beauty pageant contest to judge the best AI models and influencers. The competition is organized by the World AI Creator Awards (WAIC) with the aim of recognizing the achievements of AI creators from around the globe.
According to the official website, Miss AI will be awarding prizes totaling $20,000 (roughly Rs. 16.7 lakhs) to the winners. The competition opened for entries on April 14, welcoming creators behind AI-generated models to register. To be eligible, the creators must be over 18 years old and have a social media presence.
The event’s website outlines that participants will be judged on three main criteria – beauty, tech, and social clout. The beauty category focuses on classic pageantry aspects such as beauty, poise, and the ability to answer a series of questions. The tech aspect assesses the creator’s skills in using AI tools to generate the AI model, including the usage of prompts. Social clout will be evaluated based on the creator’s engagement numbers with fans, audience growth rate, and their presence on platforms like Instagram.
A panel of four judges will be responsible for evaluating all the participants, with two of them being AI influencers themselves. Aitana Lopez and Emily Pellegrini, both digital avatars with large Instagram followings, will bring their unique perspective to the judging process. Additionally, entrepreneur Andrew Bloch and beauty pageant judge Sally-Ann Fawcett will represent the human side of the judging panel.
While the date for the online award ceremony has not been disclosed, it is scheduled to take place later this month. The winners of Miss AI will be announced on May 10, with the overall winner receiving a cash prize of $5,000 (Roughly Rs. 4.1 lakhs). In addition to the monetary prize, the winners and runners-up will also receive mentorship programs, promotional packages, and PR support.
