His reunion with Cowboys’ defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, who previously coached him during his time with the Minnesota Vikings, played a crucial role in Kendricks’ decision. Zimmer, who shares a history with Kendricks from 2015 to 2021, was eager to have the former Pro Bowl player bolster his defense.
